Fundamentals of Biotech Development: Biologics, Vaccines, Cell & Gene Therapy

This essential two-day virtual course explores a variety of biotherapeutic treatments, including vaccines, cell therapy, and gene therapy, as well as explores the future of non-small molecule therapies. Participants will gain a broad multidisciplinary understanding of the scientific, management and regulatory decision points in the development of biotech products.

PERI’s fundamental education course provides an overview of the pharmaceutical development process, from drug discovery, nonclinical and clinical development, and manufacturing, culminating in product launch and marketing. The course focuses on the decisions that need to be made throughout the therapeutic development process and the criteria influencing these decisions.

Cancer: Pathophysiology, Current Therapies, Clinical Trials, and Drug Development

This three-day course reviews current and emerging drugs, immunotherapies, their application to specific cancer types, how to conduct clinical trials for oncologic therapies, and the drug development process for drug candidates leading to approval. Faculty include leaders from the US Food and Drug Administration, top research institutions, and the pharmaceutical industry.

NDA Simulation Workshop: Pharmaceutical Development Decisions

In this highly interactive course, participants gain an understanding of the overall pharmaceutical development and regulatory processes by forming a “project team” working together to get a product approved with the required label and within the projected timeline and budget. The course pairs comprehensive presentations on non-clinical safety, clinical development, and regulatory pathways with two role-playing simulations offering a practical application of the addressed concepts.

Global Labeling & Regulatory Symposium

Developed and delivered in partnership with Opus Regulatory, PERI presents a one-of-a-kind comprehensive labeling education symposium exploring both fundamental labeling skills and specialized concepts, including current events and new regulatory initiatives. New topics for this year include label negotiations and labeling for challenging populations, including pediatrics, rare diseases, and companion diagnostics.
