Course Overview

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the importance of project management across the various development stages and organizational areas within a pharmaceutical company. The course lays a solid foundation for professionals transitioning into a project management role, while also offering new tools and strategies to seasoned managers looking to improve their efficiency, effectiveness and communication across their programs and projects.

Through interactive presentations, discussions, and workshops, course participants learn how to manage different types of programs and projects typical in a global pharmaceutical environment. David Fritsch is a Senior leader with extensive business and operations management experience in biologics, pharmaceuticals and chemicals manufacturing. He is currently a consultant for CMC and Program Management, currently focused on building out Program Management systems and delivering customer development and manufacturing programs for a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO). 

In his various roles as a consultant and within the pharmaceutical industry, David has amassed as wealth of experience in CMC Project Management, from project inception through the completion of new facilities and capital development. His areas of experience and expertise within project management include operational growth, operational efficiency, personnel management, team building, long-range planning, vendor and alliance management, talent development.  Previous industry experience include leadership positions at Landmark Bio, Resilience, Sanofi Genzyme, and Gallus Biopharmaceuticals and Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals – Covidien.

Additionally, David is an adjunct professor at Washington University in St. Louis, where he teaches Strategic and Crisis Communication in the MBA program at the Olin Business School. David holds a B.S. Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
